suiseki is an elegant art. It is a superb communication between Humans and Nature. People often say 'The falling of one leaf heralds the Autumn' (meaning a small sign can indicate a great trend). It is the same with suiseki. With one rock in your hand, you would know thousands of years' history with great changes. Appreciation of suiseki reflects one's knowledge, intelligence and self-cultivation.
